Privacy Policy
Privacy is the reason this tool exists, so we collect as little as possible. This page explains exactly what happens to the information you give us.

Summary
- You don’t need an account, and we never ask for your Facebook login.
- We don’t store the stories you watch or download.
- Profile searches are held in server memory for a few minutes to keep the tool fast, then discarded.
- We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising profiles.
- We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity cookies to understand how the site is used, never for advertising.
Information we process
Profile links and usernames you enter
When you search, the profile link or username is sent to our server so it can look up that profile’s public stories. Results are cached in memory for up to five minutes so repeated searches don’t hit Facebook again. They are not written to a database and are lost whenever the server restarts.
IP address and technical data
Like every website, our server receives your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. We use the IP address in memory to limit how many searches can be made per minute, which protects the service from abuse. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs for security and troubleshooting for a limited period.
App early-access list
If you join the early-access list on our app page, we store the name and email address you enter, the time you signed up, the language of the page you used and your browser’s language setting. The list is kept on our server and in a private Google Sheet in our Google Drive, and we receive an email notification for each new signup. We use this information only to tell you when the app is ready and to send occasional updates about it. You can ask to be removed at any time by replying to one of those emails or contacting us, and we delete the list once it is no longer needed.
Messages you send us
If you email us, we keep your message and email address only as long as needed to answer and to keep a record of requests such as profile exclusions.
Story media
Stories are streamed from Facebook’s content servers through our server to your device. We don’t save copies. Because the request to Facebook comes from our server, Facebook does not receive your IP address or account details when you watch a story here.
Cookies and analytics
We use two analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site and to improve it: Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) and Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation). Both use cookies, described below. We never use them for advertising.
- Google Analytics measures page views, how visitors arrive, device and browser type and approximate location (country or city). It sets the
_gaand_ga_*cookies, which last up to 2 years. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. - Microsoft Clarity records how visitors scroll and click (heatmaps and session replays) so we can find parts of the site that confuse people. Text you type and other sensitive content are masked by default. It sets the
_clck(1 year) and_clsk(1 day) cookies, and Microsoft may set itsMUIDcookie.
You can block or delete these cookies at any time in your browser’s settings, or stop Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on. The story viewer keeps working either way.
Sharing
We share information only when necessary:
- With our hosting provider, which runs the servers the site operates on.
- With Google (Google Analytics) and Microsoft (Microsoft Clarity), which process usage statistics for us as described in “Cookies and analytics”.
- With Google (Google Drive and Sheets), which stores the early-access list, and our email provider, which delivers signup notifications and launch emails — only for those purposes.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the service.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you, or to object to its processing. Since we don’t keep accounts or search histories, there is usually nothing stored to return — but you can contact us at any time and we will respond to your request.
Profile owners
The tool only displays stories whose owners set them to Public. If you own a profile and want it excluded, see our Contact Us page.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised.
